Removing the OB program from NYU SOE (Tandon) is a mistake. This program has challenged me academically and propelled me professionally. I cannot emphasize enough that this program prepares it's graduates with the requisite knowledge and skills that the market demands. Analytics and big data are not buzzwords here. These are applied courses taught by industrial organizational psychologists and statisticians in the field. As an analytics professional in HR, I apply what I have learned from the OB program daily. It concerns me that any university would remove a program which advances a field and prepares students for specialized careers. This is no exception. Please consider this student and alumni plea to maintain our program as distinct entity (MS OBSA) with a history of innovation and alumni success.

This program is one of a kind - a truly exceptional combination of OB, technology and analytics. It provides the insight that HR professionals need to develop into strategic business partners and truly add value to an organization. It would be a shame to discontinue it.

I am a current OBSA student and have been an OD professional for over 14 years. In choosing to attend this Masters program it was a decision that I made with the knowledge that the OBSA program is offering the knowledge, skills, and abilities that OD professionals need in this changing work environment. This is the only program (after looking at 8 different schools) that I found truly gives a well rounded educational experience. I know that now most of the classes are moving towards an online format but that takes away from the great class room experience that NYU and Poly was built on. It neglects the networking that students do face to face and also neglects the knowledge transfer that integration between professors give. As a current OD consultant, while working with numerous client I feel strongly that this program and degree is giving me the edge I need to succeed. I support the continuation of th OBSA program.

I elected to pursue the Organizational Behavior, Systems, and Analytics Master of Science to further personal and professional goals. As a working professional, finding the right balance of academic rigor and the flexibility of a virtual learning environment was extremely important to my success. I believe strongly that future students should be afforded the same opportunity to participate in a substantative human capital and analytics program. It would truly be a disservice to the greater NYU community if these courses were to disappear.

The OBSA program at NYU Tandon has given me the tools I need to succeed in a competitive job market and I highly value the educations I've reforge thus far. Please keep this program open in hopes that other students will have access to the same educational opportunities

MS in Organizational Behavior, Systems & Analytics is a very unique program that has kept up with all the changes and improvements in the field of human resources. It has prepared me and given me the confidence to enter the field of Human Resources . Closing this program will affect the future generation as they won’t get the opportunity to learn from this program.

The MS in OBSA program kept re-inventing itself to fit the needs of the changing world and with the emergence of Big Data and HR Analytics, the face of this program has completely changed. Without Analytics the world doesn't exist anymore. Top companies like Google, Facebook, IBM, Amazon etc. rely on HR Analytics to the core and the porfessors teaching the courses would provide a real time information about how the courses in the program are being utilized at the top notch companies in the world.
This kind of a program is not even available in Colombia University in New York, which is a selling point for NYU to attract students into NYU over other popular universities. So, I would request the authorities to keep this program exclusive and not mix with MS in Management of Technology as this unique program would drive more students in the future. With that popularity in mind, it is in the best interest of NYU, I would sign this petition to keep this program exclusive and create the future leaders from NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
