The Organizational Behavior, Systems, and Analytics (OBSA) program has helped me both in the professional and personal levels. I highly support the petition for the program to continue so that others like me as well as the organization and the community that I serve can benefit from this program. Thank you.

The MSOB program was a significant part of my professional development and a primary reason for my success in the field of Human Resources. Without a doubt NYU should continue its ongoing support for the MSOB program.

I have been teaching at NYU on and off for over 25 years and have personally taught several courses in this very important program. The students find the connection between analytics and human behavior extremely important and necessary for business success. Please ensure this program continues.

I have been teaching Human Resouces Management as an Adjunct for the last 5 years in the OBSA program. I see from the comments of my students that this degree program has a major influence on their ability to appreciate and find work in this and related fields. It fully complements the technology courses that NYU Tandon is noted for.

My OB degree from Poly helped propel my career in Organizational Development in ways I never could have imagined. Now that the program has included systems and analytics, it makes me want to go back because this is not offered anywhere else at NYU and is cutting edge education. Please do not cut this program!

To Administrators of NYU Tandon School of Engineering,
I write to you with great sadness and frustration about the elimination of the Organizational Behavior, Systems, and Analytics (OBSA) - MS degree program at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. This MS degree program is unique, without a doubt. It is an entry way for many students who want to break into the field of human capital management with a focus on technology and analytics. The program also promotes diversity from all walks of life and helps everyone maximize his or her potential professionally. This is evident in the testimonials that are written in this petition.
I understand that change in organizations is inevitable. However, the move to make the OBSA program into a “concentration” in MOT not only dilutes its brand, but also does a major disservice to the 2017 graduating class, incoming/current students, NYU-Poly SHRM, the alumni, and most importantly, the faculty. This tight-knit group has survived a major transition in the school’s history only to be eliminated as part of that process. With that in mind, I have painfully decided not to invest my effort, money, and time to the school at this moment. This OB program represents who I am and what I have contributed. Having it placed where it is now does not characterize me and what it means to be part of the NYU family.
Sincerely,
Dennis Mah, M.S.

Having a BS in electrical engineering technical undergraduate degree and an MS in Organization Behavior proved to be the key to success. Learning about human motivation, group dynamics, social status, management of people and social interaction in a business environment help me to easily adapt to changes in the fluctuation of human capital demands in various sectors due to global economic events. My exposure to Organization Behavior has helped tremendously in my professional career. I changed careers 3 times and worked for 9 companies for the past 32 years. I was never unemployed during hard times since my technical and social skills helped me build a reputable resume. Currently, I am a Cloud Security Solutions Architect working to transform the traditional application security data centers into cloud data centers. During my sales meetings, solutions positioning and negotiations, I find that my skills in Organizational Behavior provide the edge necessary to influence and convince clients that transforming their business to a cloud centric security environment is the right strategic direction for a company to remain competitive. Please re-consider your decision and keep the Organizational Behavior program so future students can benefit and be successful in their careers.

I had the privilege of teaching in this program this year, and it would be a real shame if it was discontinued. The students were very receptive to the curriculum and did high quality work. There are precious few programs like it nation-wide, and employers are looking for talent and training specific to this program's charter. Since it was an on-line course, we were able to include students from diverse geographical areas who added a different perspective. Please reconsider and reinstate this program.

This program, by the end of my first semester, had helped me obtain a position in HR when I had previously been out of the working world for over three years. It has helped me immensely in learning the areas and facilitating me into my new position. It would be a travesty to absorb this program into the MOT degree, as the areas the current OBSA program cover, are hard to find, if not impossible, elsewhere.

I had the pleasure of speaking at a conference and then teaching a course on the use of game technology in human capital management within this program. The use of games for human capital purposes is projected to grow in major ways in the coming years and this program had the foresight to offer a course on this relevant and timely topic. I don't see that from other programs. Losing this program will leave a hole for working professionals and students who seek a practical education on how to excel at the intersection of people, technology, analytics, and organizations.

This is an excellent program. Blends the unique combination of HR and Analytics that is hard to find.

This program is very close to my heart and has prepared me for my current position like no other. I would be very disappointed if we discontinue it as I apply the knowledge I have gained from the OB program every single day in my work.
