I was born and brought up in Witney, and Witney Town Football Club was a big part of my youth - I followed them home and away in my teenage years until I moved away from the town in the late 70's. The town deserves a senior football club, and a decent stadium is an essential element in making this happen.

How come this wonderful community facility fell into the hands" On The Edge".?
I understand there is a "Sports Covenant"until 2031.
We need a group of dedicated Witney Town Supporters to push this a long before its too late

This stadium needs to be preserved as it is a hub for the local community and would be beneficial for future football clubs in Witney.

Roots football, where it all begans, the likes of premier league clubs/players could save this and with loose change. Hope it works, from a Plymouth argyle fan.

This facility could be of so much benefit to the community, and I can't see why a partnership between the West Oxfordshire and Witney Town Councils along with other parties, such as the Oxfordshire County FA could not take on this facility and give it back to the community, for whom it was built in the first place - it would be a great place for the County FA to move into and use to stage their Cup FInals, Rep games and other fixtures. And finance should not be an excuse to duck the issue, I'm sure there's funding available from the FA, Sport England and other funding sources that could be identified to fund the facility - it just takes some will on the part of local people - including politicians - to get on with it.

Lose this ground and it will cost the council millions to build a new one when this ever growing town decides a local team is back on the agenda. Invest some money and save it and you've got a multi purpose venue for the town and facilities for local football.

Would be fantastic if the ground was saved and get Witney Town FC back up and running,
The town of Witney is too big not to have a football team.

Former Witney player and also played at Marriotts in the last season there, just a shame that the OFA didn't buy it from there 'fines mountain' when it was offered to them for a song by Brian Constable
