Do not want boys/men walking into a restroom with my daughter that claim they want to be female. This is an outrage and where is the protection for our students that are not transgender. HCS need to rethink this and stand apart from this or make restroom for those ones who do wish to mix male female

If this goes through, I'll be pulling my kids out and going to online school.

I can just see this turning into a bunch of fights against the transgenders I personally don't like this change its your lifestyle choice fine but my kids boy or girl don't need to pee with the opposite sex next to them....

I am glad my daughter will be leaving HCS this year. I am devastated that my son will now have to attend HCS with this new policy in place. This bathroom problem has been blown out of proportion by the media and made into a circus. Create another single stall restroom for anyone who is uncomfortable using the multi-stall restrooms. It isn't even made about gender this way. Many people don't want to use a restroom where someone they don't know is less tan 2 feet away. This policy is wrong and should be returned to the way it was before. The needs of the many should always outweigh the needs of the few. It's a sad day here in Horry County School areas.

0.3% of the population are transgender. Why should the schools feel pressured to pass an ordinance for the minority when the majority of people are uncomfortable allowing transgender students to use the bathroom that corresponds with their gender identity. A simple and more comfortable solution would be to assign a gender neutral bathroom. If male transgender students are comfortable standing to use the urinal, but their counter peers and/or parents aren't then clearly, then best solution for everyone is a gender neutral bathroom. We have a bathroom for females, we have a bathroom for males, and we should have a gender-neutral bathroom. For everyone's safety (peeping toms, etc.) and feeling comfortable using the facilities, there should be an option for transgender.

This has gone to far. Is really uncalled for. Sad when you can't send your children to school without worrying about their safety.

Pretty sad when my child comes home and complains that girls will now be able to use his bathroom. Way to cave into pressure HCS!

A school is suppose to be a place where our children are safe and feel safe. How can I send my little girl to school knowing a born male who wants to be a female is now using the same restroom as she is.

We need school board members that will fight for the safety and well being of our children, not bow to pressure from the media.

I feel me and my family's rights are being violated under this new policy. A separate bathroom should be installed at all public facilities to maintain the rights for those who are non-transgender/unisex. This isn't just about the rights for transgender but the rights that are being taking away from non-transgender. We need to boycott this SC law and have it reversed just like NC did.
