As a 6 week pregnant mother, a 2nd grade school teacher, and a cousin to two beautiful girls who attend schools in Horry County, I sincerely ask you to stop the movement to allow transgender students to use bathrooms of their choice based on their gender identification. If it necessary for a new bathroom policy to be elected, I urge you to create separate, gender neutral restrooms as an alternative. Do not be the school district that does a disservice to the whole because of the progressiveness of the minority. There ARE other options to appeal and accommodate those students you are making change on behalf of. This is not about a dislike towards citizens who consider transgender identification to be a strong element of their culture. This about loving ALL your students and honoring what they ALL feel is safe for them so that they can ALL have a solid education in a comfortable environment.

I am strongley against this change. Kids have not gotten any better since I was in school and now this will open doors that do not need to be opened. It is an abomination to God and as a Christian I am very offended.

Just add a unisex bathroom. Why do our rights not matter? I'm not hating on anyone for their decision of who they think they are,but some predators will use this to their advantage.

This has gone to far. Its bad when we can't send our children to school without worrying about their safety. Imagine how unsafe this could be on so many different levels. How many things can happen to our children. If anything happens to my daughters I will Sue Horry County School District that's a promise. Just because people start saying their treated unfair horry county goes, and does the most ignorant things so they can belong.

Not only does this go against the Truths of the Bible, it goes against all common sense. You're putting the safety of countless numbers of children at risk because of one student.

Their choices are their choices and that's the same with everyone. They need a one occupant bathroom.

I am a teacher, not in Horry County, but what is our society coming to? This is not necessary, I don't care if you are a male and think you are a female or a female that feels the need to be a male. So be it, do it, but DO NOT allow a male to enter a female restroom or a female to enter a male restroom. This is violating the rights of the remaining population. Horry County Schools I used to look up to you, but in this case you have made the wrong decision. Thin about the parents who have a little girl or boy attending you schools....think about their worry that they are there for 7 to 8 hours a day a need to go into the restroom where there may be a person of the opposite sex with different private parts and different ideas other than use the restroom. What a shame to our society. If you feel like you need to allow this, please build a transgender their own restroom and save our children!

Totally disagree with this policy and am in shock that HCS would expose our children and put them at risk.

I can not believe that the district would even think about allowing this. Add a bathroom for them, do not let a boy use the same bathroom as my girls! This is crazy!

What policies are you going to have in place to prevent a hormonal boy/girl from deciding they are transgender one day just to peep in the locker room/bathroom. Especially with the technology of cell phones these days where pictures and video can be taken so easily!!!!

My daughter does not feel safe going to the bathroom now at school because of this. Doing this opens to many doors for things to happen in the bathroom and law suits.
