Horry County Schools have an awesome reputation, let's don't destroy by making an unwise choice. Horry county has always put their students first at safety and wise choices, let's keep it that way.

You are putting other children in danger letting them all go to the restroom together

As the parent of a teenage girl attending Horry county schools I feel this isn't the best method of dealing with the situation. My problem isn't with transgender my problem is with those who will use this as an opportunity to harm others as a mean fulfill their perverted desires. There's an answer that will be considerate of transgender and not increase the potential to harm of those aren't transgender. Maybe those of us who feel as I do should consider filling a law suit against the district for not considering the best interest and safety of all students.

For the safety of young women and men, the opposite sex should not be allowed in bathrooms! Stop this new policy!

This is unacceptable and should not be allowed in schools! This is perfect way to allow assaults and even sex in the bathrooms! I am very upset with HCS and consider home schooling my children! What happened to morals?!? All one of the minority has to do is start one little protest! Don't worry about the masses!

No male should be able to enter the bathroom with girls. They need a separated bath room for transgender people. Even if it one bathroom where they can go alone so it doesn't affect others. This is why so many are home schooling their children. The risk at schools today.

Perfect example... a girl identifies herself as a boy... wants to experience life as a boy....goes to the boys bathroom the guys are all peeing in the urinals and the transgender girl drops her pants hovers over the urinal and relieves herself... how do you think these hormonal boys are going to react? They will be lining up to use the bathroom and then what's next...the transgender girls family is going to threaten a law suit for harrassment???? This is seriously a huge safety issue.

Gender neutral bathrooms for those who want to go in opposite sex areas.

The district is punishing the majority to appease an extremely small percentage of students and parents. That has never been good policy in any governmental/business decisions. The 1972 law cited as an excuse to support this decision is simply wrong. This is not discrimination. Discrimination would be not letting transgender students use the facilities at all… it doesn’t mean they or anyone else can simply do anything they want to do just to get the ‘warm fuzzies’.

I do not want my grandaughter in the same bathroom with the boy next door! I'm sorry for someone who does not like who God made them! That does not give anyone the right to place my child in harms way! We have enough to worry about without having to think our childrin are not safe in the school bathrooms. Shame on you Horry County!

Do people need to start identifying each restroom by putting a picture of the body part allowed in that restroom? They want to be treated equal, then use the restroom that accommodates the body part you have. That's equal. What is being asked for is special treatment. No problem with transgenders but I don't agree with this and it's all silly.

They need to have a single stall bathroom for special people. the handicapped get a private bathroom- the teachers get a bathroom- Transgender people should have a facility for their type. No offense. It would make everyone feel more comfy @ school

This is an unacceptable decision. What about protecting the children?

As a tax paying citizen I think this should be on a ballot for the tax payers to vote. Since our tax dollars fund the schools.

This is so wrong. I do not want to get on my bandwagon again but will if necessary.
