Restricted Recreational license for kids 12yrs+ for motorbike riding in the bush australia wide

Kid should Lern to ride in bush before road to gain the skills before getting a licence. You lern faster and aquire better skills if you learn from a young age. Not everyone owns a farm so its not an option for most people

This would be a fantastic idea. Making something most family's with a passion for motorbikes do legal.

My son has a new bike he has ridden once we had previously joined as a member of a motorcycle club but due to new licensing and pricing this became an expensive activity!! There is no where for kids to ride these days the bike is just collecting dust in the shed! Would b great to drive to a nearby bush land and for him to enjoy a casual ride!

It's crazy that we have to petition for this . It's about teaching kids how to ride safe . Not wait until they are 18 , give them a bike and let them loose on the main roads . This is just like boat licences . It needs to happen for the sake of our children and the crazy road till we are facing . Not enough emphasis has been placed on long term skill training .

Will teach them how to ride responsibly and be able to ride with parents and friends instead of playing with Xbox or computers and enjoy life.

I was thinking about this during the week as I have a 9 year old boy that I take out bush sometimes. What if the child had to be on a rec reg bike, supervisedwith a licenced adult, and the use of a helmet to helmet intercom or radio

this makes complete sense to me. Motorbike riding in the bush is a family activity agreed the kids need to be with licenced adult at all times.

This must happen, I find it hard to see why it's illegal for some some young kids to go out in the bush and have a good time !!!

Kids got no were to ride under a licenced rider supervised they should be allowed.

This should be made legal there is no where really for young people to learn to ride a lot of people don't have private property and can't afford to pay for lessons etc. Riding in the bush is one of the best experiences I've ever had and I would love to see more young people out there too.
