This is defiantly an essential for all Australians my son would then be legally permitted to accompany me on my rides in the high county

If a junior is capable of holding a licence to pilot a boat and shoot a gun, there is no reason why they shouldn't be able to hold a restricted bike licence.

Would be excellent to be able to ride with my young kids and teach them the basics of riding properly and safely. Quality time with them out in the fresh air instead of them being on technology would hurt either,lol.

Needs to happen to allow time for teenagers to get some education/experience in the bush prior to getting their licence and riding with their peers.

I totally agree! My son wanted to ride with his dad at a young age but couldn't because of age restrictions. Dads will take their son's riding in the bush regardless of the law, not because they are not law abiding citizens but because they want to spend some quality time with them away from computer games and TV. It also will help with mental Heath, obesity and fitness.

Great idea. Keep those 'monkey bikes' away from the suburbs.

Like this having 2 teenage kids would make taking them riding much more enjoyable

My son loves his dirtbike but neither my husband nor I ride, so when he does get the chance to go out with his uncle or a fully licensed friend, we don't want to worry that he's going to get a fine. He's a good kid and he knows to respect the bush and the environment.

I would lve to be able to ride with my son and daughter in the bush without worrying about getting in to trouble motorbike riding is a great family sport and it keeps kids active and outdoors

Its rediculous this isnt law NATION wide. Probably will never happen in Victoria, we cant do anything in this nancy state.

I have 4 kids that all ride bush and always have done the right thing. It would be fantastic for all involved to make this legal. Would love to help in any way

Great idea kids should be able to ride in bush together with family and not worry about being fined by police.
