The long term Patrons of the Victoria Inn, Salcombe below petition the St Austell Brewery to reinstate the playground area so they and their families can continue to gather together there for meals throughout the year as before.
I am truly overwhelmed by the momentum behind this and it is entirely because of your belief in our little park. Seeing so many people care about this space reminds me that this was never just about me or a playground.

We have 6 grandchildren who used to love using the children's playground at the Victoria Inn whilst we all had a meal. The removal of this playground is a sad loss to the town of Salcombe.

I am very concerned that St Austell Brewery are seeking to replace the play area for children and allow the introduction of an all day pub garden that will support the all day drinking culture that Salcombe does not need. The residential properties will be adversely affected with significant noise as I believe it is being proposed to introduce live bands. Restoring The Victoria to a conventional family pub that appeals to families where children can play in the garden is important. I strongly oppose this planning application.

We love the play park it is such an important part of the town for families - no other restaurants have any facilities or safe places for little ones!
