Petition to Restore Confidence in Pickens County Elections
We the undersigned legal citizens of Pickens County in order to restore public confidence in our Pickens County Registration and Elections do hereby call on the Pickens County Board of Voter Registration and Elections of 2019 to replace all those responsible for the 2018 District 7 School Board election failure to provide, “legal, fair, and efficient elections so all citizens are assured their vote will be counted.” ( that is the mission statement of the Board of Voter Registration and Elections of Pickens County) The Board is responsible for appointing and training all poll clerks and poll managers as well as hiring an Executive Director who serve at the pleasure of the Board. It is your duty to restore public confidence in the voting process in our county. And we demand you replace any and all appointed and hired positions responsible for the failure.

Time to hold people responsible for their own actions! Time to put Common Sense back in Pickens County
The fiasco was embarrassing and disgraceful to the electoral process of Pickens County and sets a dangerous precedent for elections in SC!
Every vote counts! We need to make sure there is no more mistakes made in any election procedures. What happened in the original election that led to having to hold another election and the additional expenses was inexcusable. Also the apathy of those original voters who did not return to vote in the recalled election is appalling. Too many did not return to cast their initial vote and I feel that this skewed the true convictions of the original voter majority.
'panem et circenses' bread and circuses : sustenance and entertainment provided by government to appease public discontent
Voter confidence is at a low... we must hold those responsible for mismanagement responsible to restore voter confidence in Pickens County.
Things need to change. I will stand and show my support.

I feel the disappointment of the original voters. If they can't get it right the first time, what insures they will get it right second time?
