University of Lagos unjustly suspended ULSU - UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS STUDENTS UNION and RUSTICATED 11 student leaders for protesting against bad welfare and insensitive school management.
Among the bad welfare elements in the school are poor health facilities, hiked prices and monopolised UNILAG ventures, epileptic power supply, undrinkable yet scares water, inhumane treatment of students, non involvement of students in the policy making of the school among others.
We call on well meaning people to also lend a voice against this draconic and undemocratic failed management by signing this petition.

We stand with UNILAG students in their struggle against tyranny, economic attack, collapsing infrastructure and attack on intellectualism. Education must be a right and not a privilege. Students have a right to organize and set up a union without any interference from the State.

Let justice be done. Student unionism cannot be trampled on. A university is for students and staffs. Let student subjugation in all forms seize.
It's high time we return sanity and Normalcy into UNILAG and Education sector in Nigeria. Our voice must be heard. Enough of this intimidation and oppression. Let's fight for injustice for our unborn children. We are not agitating for free meal, but suitable welfarism from the school management.
It is the right of any student to protest an unfair and unjust situation, civil disobedience is the mother of all right... And it I an the duty of management to heed the cry of the students in the spirit of Democracy. This act of rusticating students for exercising their right is unjust, undemocratic and unreasonable.. I condemn this act and request the students be reinstated. Management would have to deal with more protest, if they refuse to do what is right... I sign this petition as an alumni of UNILAG. Injustice to one is injustice to all. Student should not be rusticated for having a different ideas from their lecturers.
