The scientific method requires the validation of hypotheses, e.g., that the oceans are acidifying, by actual _experiments_. Model "hindcasting" is _not_ an experiment; actual pH measurements _are_.

As a practicing Meteorologist, I can find absolutely no reason for NOAA to behave like it is doing. There is an appearance of impropriety and fraud here to promote a political agenda given the touted claims about "ocean acifification".
