I agree with the sentiment in this petition. Keep Shadow wood a classy club.

If the dress code cannot be enforced, discharge the person or persons whose responsibility it is. Do not change the rules to reward incompetence. Neighborhood events offer rare opportunities for individuals to get together with their entire neighborhood. Memberships should require either a sponsorship or a one year trial period. The board has constantly compared us to Grey Oaks and Mediterra to name just two. Would lay allow this to happen? I doubt it. These policy changes diminish the character of the club and it members. I suggest you figure out how to deal with the problems before you make such arbitrary changes.

Brenda and I are in full agreement with this petition. We are also surprised and somewhat disappointed that this type of change, which impacts the overall atmosphere and value of the club, would be made without member input.

I agree completely. The former dress code should be reinstated. I don't even feel jeans should be permitted. Shadowwood is a special place, not a beach club or sports bar.

I don't have a strong viewpoint on the dress code. Whatever dress code we have should be enforced for members and guests. Limiting neighborhood events is a big issue for me. Building community is one of the major reasons Shadow Wood and SWCC attracted us. Our neighborhood tried for more than two weeks to schedule one dinner and could not make it happen. Members that 'game' the reservation system for dining or golf is also a major problem. The BOD making decisions without doing any sort of survey is not healthy. When was the last time a survey was done for anything?

I am in agreement that the new dress code policy is a by product of many people not adhering to the former policy. In my opinion, untucked shirts and open toe shoes should not be allowed in any of the club “common” restaurant areas. Should the policy be limited to the Men’s Lounge, I have no problem with it. But to allow untucked shirts and flip flops in our restaurants is unnecessary and dings our brand as a club.

The dress code changes,including the latest and the recent blue jeans approval, make this less a country club and more a beach club. Please rescind these policies.

Don’t like the dress code changes or the limiting of neighborhood events. This is supposed to be “a club where members are proud to belong.”

I disagree with the new dress code changes. I think the previous dress code was appropriate for our club.

I do not want to see the dress code change. Also I think it is important to allow Shadow Wood communities to host golf events. These events bring our members together and increase enjoyment of our Shadow Wood experience.
