Frankly I’m more disturbed by the double standard than the policy. Some people receive terse notices if a shirt is untucked (regardless if it’s designed to be), while others, including club officers can follow their own set of rules.

Neighborhood dinners and Golf outings should be almost a core requirement of the Clubs marketing and contributions to the development as a whole.

Neighborhood events are very important. They present the opportunity for non golf members to consider becoming golf members. Also social activities are why we joined.

I believe policy changes should require a vote from the members.

Private parties and neighborhood functions are one great reason for belonging to a Country Club

We want neighborhood golf events -.rescind your dress code change and we wound like a “fair membership mtg to discuss the issues’”

I am against the new proposed dress code

Change the dress code back to country club casual not amusement park dressdown.

We joined SWCC because our friends are here, we love the community, the amenities AND the governing rules. I believe we all did, in fact, just to live in a place with likeminded people in a beautiful atmosphere, in a phrase, “our little slice of heaven”. Let’s try to keep it that way. Obviously, we will have nods to the current fashions, let’s do so w class.

I think the club should return to a stronger dress code. My experience in a previous club was that once jeans were approved all standards deteriorated progressively. History is repeating itself.

Please return to the previous dress code. Tucked in shirts and no sandals for men.

I am very concerned with the logic that the dress code was changed due to so many violations. What incentive is there to adhere to the new dress code, if enough people violate it, it too will be changed. That logic certainly is not in place with the SW Association relative to the speed limits.

I believe that the clun should reinstate the former dress code for the men. There is no reason why men's shirts should not be tucked in and abolish the new sandle rule. I would like our clun=b to be an upstanding club, which includes appropiate dress code. In addition, cellphone should not be permitted in the dining area, yet I have seen men using their phone and have not seen any manager approaching them.

What the senior members don’t realize is that it isn’t about them any more. Its about all the new younger members coming in. Forbes said so in his letter. It surprises me that more people are upset with the dress code than the fact that the GM made over $700K last year, up $200K from the year before. And the daughter of the chef, who makes $500K, gets a scholarship! That’s insulting. We continue to be compared to Bonita Bay, yet their GM makes $500K. What about the mausoleum of a pro shop? Does anyone think the members would have voted for that?

I chose to join Shadow Wood because of it’s high quality and standards generally associated with a premium club. I don’t agree with the Boards logic in lowering the bar and diminishing that value to allow casual attire such as sandals for men, seriously? Please revisit these decisions and return to the previous dress code.

In line with our beautiful clubhouse, we need to maintain standards of the dress code, flip flops and shirts untucked need to be outlawed

I feel the reason I joined a premium country club is because they had standards, with the new dress codes those standards are not met. I don’t think telling new members they can’t wear sandals for men or tee shirts are the members who don’t understand the quality of Shadow Wood.. Please change back the dress code. The club has done a awful job on on addressing the previous dress code. Come on man!
