Redskins are brave, strong people. I think people should show them respect by keeping the redskin name. Stop being negative.

I am a proud Belding Redskin Alumni. I am the youngest of 5. All 5 of us are Belding Redskin Alumni. Also my 4 children are also alumni. In school we were taught to have pride and honor and courage along with standing up for what we believe in. Stop looking at it from a political standpoint. We were told politics have no place in school. Let's continue to instill what is right in our future alumni.
I also do think it's right that I can not sign this petition because I no longer live in Belding. Do to my husband's medical issues we had to move. I think that as long as I am a Belding Redskin Alumni I ahould be able to sign this petition.

I am proud to be a Belding Redskin. I am from the class of 1990. Belding taught me values, and pride. Never once did we use Native American ways in shame. We have had players die on Rudeness field. If you change our mascot you not only take away what we played for and are proud of but Belding history. Please don't let our players lives that were lost go forgotten. Look back in history. How can playing with pride and honor be a insult to the Native American people? Is this not what they stand for? Washington Redskins have been put on hold due to the Native American people not having a issue with the name by order of the Supreme Court. Now you want to strip us. Where is this right? Do not take away our pride we played with everything we had for you. Why should we be ashamed?

We r the belding redskins and we are hear and fight for every game and,it was always a honor to be a reskin it isnt a bad thing we use it isnt racist or nothing like that they fought we fight in ever game determination and dedication it is pride and i am loyal love it and hope it never changes keep going strong as a redskin

HillBilly Way T's Has shirts and sweatshirts available to the community to show our support of keeping Belding's mascot. Shirts are 15$ and sweatshirts are 25$ with a 5$ donation going to the school athletic dept. Students and faculty with current id are not expected to pay the donation and their shirt/sweatshirt is 5$ cheaper

62 school districts in the United States with the same mascot! Saranac isnt backing down, the school board needs to make a decision ! Change when the nationally known Washington Redskins change, show some pride and stop with the shame education !

It's called "REDSKINS PRIDE" for a reason...we in this area are proud of the heritage and what our mascot represents...it shouldn't be changed because of the ignorance of a few, when the MANY are truly proud and understand the history and heritage of our dear REDSKIN mascot.
