Our community library is too important to be compromised by a self-serving board member.

I lived in Farmington for 7 years and extensively used the downtown branch library. Even now, years after moving out of Farmington I come to this library as often as possible. I have made lifelong memories and friends here and I wish more and more families get a chance to do so. The staff at this library is exceptional and I support them with all my heart.

We love our library and are troubled by the negative effects of the board dysfunction, and especially the words and actions of one member.

I sincerely hope the Governor will receive this petition and take action. The removal of Bill would be the first step in the right direction for our library.

Libraries are a force for good in their communities. Being micromanaged by a Board during this time would make Library operation impossible!

Largent is a bully. I do not like his leadership or candor. He isn’t pleasant in any of the board meetings and I’ve noticed this from day one. Enough is enough.

Terrible leadership. Libraries are a public good. They should be ran in a way that benefits the patrons.

Libraries are not corporations and should not be run like them. Libraries serve their patrons in times of economic and other strife. Taking staff and money away during a time like this is a crime to Farmington and Farmington Hills.

Sounds like some people have their hands in the cookie jar, making a toxic hostile work environment, furloughing employees right in the middle of a crisis, maybe people need to come together and lawyer up for their rights. Maybe said suit should include the mayor as well.

Me. Largent should be removed ASAP. Sounds like he doesn’t care for library staff or patrons.

Please remove Bill Largent from the Library board. The F/FH Public Library is a community treasure and it is unconscionable that our library staff is being treated this way.

As a former employee and current patron of the library, it saddens me to see the lack of community spirit in the current leadership. These multiple conflicts indicate an abuse of power at the top.

It is important for continuity in communities. Libraries, through their staff, are critical to this continuity.
