My family & I only live about 15 minutes from this beautiful area. I totally agree & approve of the restoration of the area to keep it's beauty & history preserved. Please don't ignore how important that this matter is to all of the past, present, and future residents of the Rockvale area.

I'm only 25 and I've lived in Rockvale for 17 years. My mom has told me stories of the old store. I'm praying that when my kids get older it will be turned back into a store so they can enjoy it

Rockvale Store is one place that everybody in the community remembers fondly. It is the hub of the lovely, historic village of Rockvale. Both the village and the store should be preserved as the residential and civic center they were historically, with no light industrial or waste disposal facilities in the downtown area!

As a public historian with 30 years experience with leading museums and historic properties in three states; as a past President of the Rutherford County Historical Society; and as a descendant of a family (I.P. and G.W. Burns) that operated a store and post office (Everglade) during this same era and that no longer exist in the Jackson Ridge community; I whole heartedly endorse this petition and offer my services as a historical administrator. Like many, my childhood was spent riding my bicycle between the three stores of Rockvale, Concorde, and Versailles collecting bottles to return to enjoy a cold drink on the steps while listening to the family stories being told. I attribute these experiences with shaping my love of life and community. Rockvale is more than a store - it is a way of life!
