Fond memories of this store as a child growing up with Helen running the place. It needs to be saved and it's history preserved, too many building from the past in this county are being destroyed. Without a history you don't have a future.

I remember being a little girl, (50) now, going in to Helen's as I called it because Helen Windrow ran it. I'd look at the candy behind the glass and tell her what I wanted. Remember the men playing checkers

It should be considered a historic site. It was the only store for miles in that area while I was growing up.
