We the loyal followers and listeners of Liz Black are hereby serving notice of our great displeasure with WBLS 107.5 FM in the New York City area, its affiliates and programming directors in their recent decision to change Liz Black's schedule on Sunday Praise.

As a member of the gospel community we are outraged by the reduction of gospel airplay in the New York City tri-state area on an FM station from 20 hours to 9 hours a week due to the merge of KISS and WBLS.

We as faithful listeners will not be silenced while decisions are made that affect our gospel community and growth. We do not want to hear talk and political agendas on our way to church first thing in the morning; we understand that this is an election year, but there is a time and place for this but definitely not Sunday mornings.

Gospel music stirs the soul, brightens dark situations, uplifts our community and is the root of our heritage. These changes were made without consideration of your faithful listeners.

Liz Black is one of the pillars of our community. Her charity work and outreach ministry extends well beyond the Tri-State area. Her current schedule interferes with the gospel communities' ability to hear the soul stirring music that we are accustomed to as we are on our way to and returning from Sunday service.

Liz Black's loyal followers and listeners can be found across America via the radio and online and we are deeply disturbed by the changes.

We therefore request that you restores Liz Black's original timeslot and increase her hours on WBLS 107.5 FM.

This petition will be sent via the US Postal Service and email.

This campaign will not stop and we the members of the gospel community will elevate it to whatever level is necessary until Liz Black is returned to her original timeslot and/or her hours increased.

The gospel community is powerful and we will not be ignored.
