For years I have supported referendums to increase funding for the DFP. It is high time to preserve our heritage and history on the lands taxpayers pay to maintain!
Mr. Cantore this is the first test of your leadership. I urge you to listen to your constituents.

Our Firest Preserve has many unique historic buildings and to add yet one more into the mix seems an obvious good decision. It is a piece of our rich environmental history in Dupage County.

How terrible that the Forest Preserve Board commissioners would recklessly tear down a structure that has withstood 80 years. You can't "rebuild" a historic structure. These building make Glen Ellyn beautiful! The commissioners are the stewards of such buildings and should preserve our heritage. Sad that this can still happen in a day when we understand the futility of tearing down old building and losing embodied energy. Please preserve this gem!

The McKee House has historical significance and should be preserved. This well-built structure has embodied energy. (Embodied energy is the energy consumed by all of the processes associated with the production of a building, from the mining and processing of natural resources to manufacturing, transport and product delivery. Europ is full of history and you can see it in the buildings and the people. I feel that in America history is expendable. With out the past being present we can't see were we came from or how hard it was to get to were we are today. By restoring this house we are preserving a small but important part of our history and are going to be able to share it with future generations. Please keep history alive and visible after all its what makes us American!
