Restore MAC Shower Heads

I get the concept, but I think it's actually NOT penciling as members are spending more time in the showers due to the low pressure...would be great to find a compromise!

I get the concept, but it truly does take extra time to shower, so in the end, I feel like it's not penciling. Let's find a happy medium...what do you say?

Please use the old ones

At least provide a mix of shower heads that allow the bather to choose less or more. Regardless, the low flow shower heads the MAC has provided has sometimes pushed me to shower at home instead of the convenience at the MAC...maybe that is the point??

Just because less water is flowing from the shower heads doesn’t mean we are using less water and energy overall. You have to let the water run longer to balance the temperature, you have to shower longer to get the soap off, and you have to run the water hotter just to stay warm!

I don't user showers any more.

I just became an early bird and use the locker room before school. It is difficult to wash hair with these shower heads.

It is tough enough to park at the club, now it is too difficult to shower at the club. I have two good incentives not to use the club.

I support this fully. I can think of many other ways the club can save money. additionally, the club was already ahead of standards.

Come down to the family locker room after swimming and listen to the little girls crying because they can’t get the soap out of their hair. Hardly world class.

We need water to take showers

The new heads have been installed for long enough to actually compare if anticipated water ( usage and cost) has been realized. So let’s see actual data comparing a few months each to the months a year ago. Theoretical savings are not always realized due to behavioral changes. Is the savings really significant it ethereal? Even if it’s a savings, 2 g/ min is barely adequate. Oh and by the way , no one has ”fear” of saving money or being environmentally conscience.

I have to stand in the shower a lot longer now. I like a quick shower. We could encourage everyone to take Navy showers.

MAC has $34,000,000 in net cash and marketable securities. Need more money??

Has any study been made to determine how much longer people will take showers and how much more water will be used with the second reduced flow shower heads in the last few years?
