Restore Leeton Police Station to Full-time Operational Status

We desperately need this.

This town needs a full time police station

I have recently moved out of Leeton with one of the reasons being that I didn't feel safe anymore, especially at night. Increased crime happening on a daily basis and poor police response meant that as a survivor of DV I didn't feel I could rely on police to keep me safe if God forbid my ex found us. On 2 seperate occasions police didn't even turn up, at all, when you know police need to come from Griffith at night how can you possibly feel safe with response times of 40-120 minutes? This is a matter of urgency for the town of Leeton and I pray for the current and future residents that it happens sooner rather than later, or more people will leave this beautiful town.

People call me a sook because I'm so scared at night. I feel even worse now knowing that if I had to call 000, help could be up to an hour or more away...

These thieves need to be caught and that won't happen if our local police station is not manned.

We need 24 hr police due to response times.

Our residents are feeling unsafe in their homes. It seems no-one is safe from theft. Our police do a fantastic job!!! We need to reclaim our security.

I think it should have always been 24/7

This is a must in order to stop the growth of crime and reduce it. Currently it seems to be growing, especially around Wattle Hill. I can only feel for property owners around there paying rates and being left to fend for themselves.

I think this should of been done a while ago, good to see that this may go forward, it's a step forward for us as a community to feel safer.

When this station was fully operational the crime and break in rate was nowhere near as bad as it is now.

I think it is very necessary to make the Leeton Police Station fully functional again as you can hardly get onto them when you need them as it is at the moment

There are way too much break ins and vandalism happening in our town of Leeton. It's getting to the stage where we can't go away as scared to get broken into and many elderly are frightened to live in their own home.

Being the owner of a local business and having a break in and everything else going on around town I feel we need more police 24/7

I fully agreement - the town is out of control with young people robbing folks and the ice epidemic way out of control. The elderly scared to live in their homes please police forget about revenue hunting start looking after us the people who you are suppose to be protecting Annette

LEETON needs full time police to control the crime in the town cause by the lack of police officer.

Seems like everyday now I hear of something getting taken overnight or damage being done in the community, mostly by kids. We need more police presence.

Security in our home is essential. Leeton needs a 24/7 police force, for both community benefits and to assist our local police force.
