I grew up playing some of greatest games as a youth on those fields. They are a landmark of East Bloomington and should be treated that way.

I had the privilege of playing on these fields as a kid. These fields will always be special to me. It saddens me to see the shape of the fields when my son's team visits there for games.

These fields have become a mess. Time for the city to step up and restore these fields for the kids!

Leave Valleyview alone!! We like the park the way it is. We DO NOT NEED A COMMUNITY CENTER THERE. Why would you even think of putting an ugly building there? There are so many vacant buildings in Bloomington already buy one of them.

Fix the fields. Never even think to take away anything from this athletic field. A CC belongs at Creekside where task force deemed was the best choice.

Considering the size of Bloomington, it's pretty sad the condition our sports facilities are in. Neighboring cities in the metro area have much nicer fields and athletic complexes, which are clearly more of a priority for those cities than Hrbek is for Bloomington. Expecting paying families to show up to "clean up" the fields before each baseball season begins is pretty weak. So not only do baseball families have to pay to use the complex, they also have to maintain it each year. That's like paying for a meal at a restaurant and having to wash the restaurant's dishes first so you have clean plates to use. Hrbek needs some TLC and the city needs to provide it.

Bloomington needs to step it up in and keep the Hrbek fields in better shape.
For a City our size, it is a shame to see this deterioration.

These fields draw a lot of teams, fans, tournaments, etc. Let’s clean them up so that they can continue to be a safe place for our kids to play ball and our fans to watch.
