We, the undersigned parents of Greenwich Public School students, petition the Greenwich, Connecticut Board of Education to restore the full week winter recess. The decision to eliminate this recess was made by the Board of Education with minimal notification to parents. Greenwich parents did not have the opportunity for meaningful participation in the discussion and decision making process. This decision adversely impacts the family lives of a significant portion of families of Greenwich Public School students.
