The photos I've seen of the area and the failure to adequately repair the area is a disgrace. This neighborhood deserves much better from their elected officials.

the crazy thing about ryu is he thinks he got elected. dude got arrested for rape and still sleepwalked to an election victory because everyone hated his opponent so much. i suspect with all the anger he won't have it so easy in 2020.

Ryu is the most clueless, arrogant piece of garbage to ever grace City Hall, and that says a lot. He has a stubborn idiocy where if a neighborhood asks for X, he will do Y. You should have told him you wanted a bleak desert. He would have insisted on planting it. Serious Grade A jerk. He has something wrong with him. He's our district's Trump.

It is not fair to restore a lovely green area with flowers into a bleak desert landscape. Do the right thing.

This is a job not even half done. It’s disgraceful that our city officials would think this is ok.

This was once a beautifully landscaped mini park area created and maintained by the adjacent, conscientious homeowner for which the residents have been grateful. It was a small gem in our community for people to enjoy while looking out over this vista with city views. On clear days you can even see Catalina and the Pacific Ocean. The city's promise to restore amounted to an ugly (unneeded) metal guardrail and black asphalt covering, leaving no room for even a blade of grass to grow. Meanwhile the hillside behind it is still not remediated, has become dumping ground for trash and remains at risk of more sliding in the event of a major rainstorm. We want what was promised — a "restoration to previous condition" that reflects our neighborhood and not an LA freeway. Consulting the community before spending valuable taxpayer dollars might have been a brilliant idea!

Just filling in the hole with dirt or gravel would be a great first step. As it was left by DWP, it becomes a garbage dump.

Thank you for the partial restoration- now please finish the job ! The "previous condition" was quite lovely and the current state is an eyesore.

Truly shows a complete lack of any regard for their customers. DWP’s neglected infrastructure fails and instead of a true restoration they leave the neighborhood with a trash dump and a likely fire hazard. Shameful!

Thanks for fixing the structure but the hillside looks eroded- needs fill. And landscaping. It looked beautiful before!! And deterred people from loitering and hanging out bc it was so nice
