The salmon and steelhead numbers have drastically declined from barriers preventing fish from reaching prime spawning grounds. Ie: Streetsville dam and Norval dam. Something needs to be done to change this.
If you believe that more steelhead should be lifted over the Norval dam and more salmon over the Streetsville dam please sign this. We need to get this fishery back to where it used to be. This is the largest cold water stream on the north shore of Lake Ontario and we need to take advantage of this fantastic resource.

I have fish credit river for years an brought my kids to fish the Credit, an noticed the decline for quite some time. We need those fish to reach the forks of the credit an have them imprinted to the credit for returning years. Thanks an pls help the future of trout an salmon
Having just moved to Mississauga from Calgary, I have seen first hand what benefit a well managed urban fishery can have to a City. Bringing the fish back to the Credit would benefit anglers and non-anglers alike.
The first time I have fished credit river was about 25 years ago with my grandfather and father, I seen my first salmon run in the fall at that river with them and it was amazing. I'd like to one day be able to share this experience with my child. Let's not mess this river up.
Please restart the lifts for these two great species. These two wonderful fisheries that have been around for decades and bring in many tourism and charter dollars for Ontario's economy should not be allowed to die off.
Keep the fish ways open all the time!!! I've been saying this for years and no one seems to be able to convince the CRAA that it's a good idea. When I was 13- 19 years old there were salmon all over the credit all the way to Norval.
