This is where I grew up and we respected and took care of this wonderful area. It makes me sad to see what is being done to it now

2021Not only is there human poop, beer bottles, trash, and torn up roads but the drivers are often dangerous, fast and often drunk who drive down that road.

Keep the cows pined up or take home free beef

Born and raised in Rockland and sad to hear this once pristine camp area has been to poorly monitor and cared for. Time for some protection!

Please highly consider a camp host and fees! It's too nice a place to just let it get destroyed each year. Thank you.

This area has been deteriorating every year. Drugs alcohol and firearms make it unsafe for families. The fire danger is real. The local volunteer fire and ambulance are overburdened by the amount of traffic now in this small area and the ingress and egress routes and the resultant emergency services requests.

I've seen several photos indicating repeated trouble with this area and think these are some very wise precautions.

I just recently (3 days ago) picked up beer bottles from the side of the road just above the upper campground. No regulations leads to irresponsible and disrespectful people coming (from out of town, I might add) to slop their stuff everywhere.

I would suggest minimum of $40.00 and maximum stay of 3 nights. Also to be closed after Labor day to assure grasses and other vegetation has chance to recover.

East Fork is a Beautiful place but people from other areas are coming in and destroying it! We need to protect this natural resource that we have!

People are just not responsible enough to be trusted with fire in the dangerous situation like this

Because there is no charge and no one maintaining the grounds this area is bringing illegal activity, people park their rv’s and campers there all summer to save their spots for weekends, It brings horrendous traffic from people who don’t obey the speed limits, drunk drivers in our town, and some people live there all summer. They are tearing up the land, leaving bodily waste everywhere, shooting guns all hours of the day and night, and very few of us in Rockland dare set foot near their with our children. Not requiring payment is bringing in people who have no respect for our land or the neighbors. Most of the people who use this area have no common decency toward the land, it’s resources and other people. Please close it completely for over night use or make the area decent for all to use and charge enough to cover the cost of maintenance, bodily waste, and trash. Leaving this area open to these people is making life miserable for all who live near this area!

I’ve seen first hand how mistreated this area is. Our family owns the land all around it and people come in and trash it, are obnoxious, negligent, and absolutely disrespectful. I really wish they would just shut it down altogether.

No overnight camping.

I would also ask for a lower speed limit to and from the campgrounds. I had a brother almost get hit moving equipment, because they think it's fun to roller-coaster through the dip at our driveway.
