Our D86 school community is defined by the opportunities are students are provided whether it be on a sports field or stage. We need to reinstate drama and the majority of other extra curricular programs since they are a signifcant part in our students growth and learning!

My two daughters are involved in choir and art st HCHS. It is so important to them and gives them something to develop and be proud of. Not everyone is a football player, cheerleader or swimmer.

All cuts to drama should be restored at HCHS and HSHS! I graduated from HCHS in 2011 and drama/theatre/musicals/freshman play were a large part of my experience and I know the same is true for many others - these programs deserve to be reinstated as there is nothing else that can replicate them at the high schools, they deserve full funding and full support from the BOE.
