I'm all for preservation--and i'm all for recreation with respect to the preservation--but a "season" pass for $250. and just a few weeks of accessibility in the Fall season seems like robbery--Beach minded campers who obey the rules of preservation should be told the truth---are we a breed no longer desired? are we only good for our money when we are sold a falsely advertised "pass"--why not just say you are only looking for donations from people who DREAM of camping on the beach like they have before?

The federal agency needs to copy what all the staye and local park systems do when bit comes to the plover. It's unacceptable that the CCNS ORV opens almost a month later than all the others.

We need more access to our national parks ORV corridor. Been getting a sticker for over 30 years and visited with family much longer than that. The plovers didn't nest for 2 months back in 2002 so why so long now?

It's beyond ridiculous at this point. We have memories of driving the entire beach corridor back in the 80s. Now its completely closed. What's the use of preserving it if you can't enjoy it. Heck even RI allows in on East Beach. There's something very unusual going in here.

I agree with this petition. There must be a solution where the ORV can be kept open while still protecting the nesting shorebirds. Let’s work together to figure it out!!

Yes, these are indeed rare birds. You can tell they are when you see the roped off nesting areas UNDER WATER! Sorry NPS but we're all too old to believe in Santa Claus!

This petition has my full support! There is no reason that people and piping plovers cannot coexist on Race Point beach! The birds are only an excuse used by over the top environmentalists to prevent people from enjoying the beach! I fully support this petition!

Thank you!! This is refreshing to see; sick of absolutely wasting money and time trying to get on the beach. Will gladly pay for the sticker when we can get out there, otherwise NPS should offer a “one day” option - since that’s the max of what we get.
