Increasing people increases complexity requiring more government, resources, etc. I have lived in Reston for 20 years. It has become so much less than it was because of the increases in density.

Stop raping Reston for developers greed. We are already at max with current infrastructure. Stay out of our 'Village' residential areas! We did not buy in Reston to be like Tysons!

I'm mad as hell about the continued efforts to turn Reston into another Tysons Corner, and at Hudgens for bailing on her constituents, scheduling a meeting for a room she knew would be too small, and not acknowledging the turn out. I'm one unhappy Dem who has lost faith in Hudgens.

Reston is already overcrowded with high-rise condos and apartments. Traffic is a nightmare. Congested roads. Less trees, less green. Concrete city. This is not what the founder of Reston envisioned. Don't make Reston uglier.

Reston had already lost its unique flair. It is very near the orginal maximum planned for us. Keep the lid on growth!

The population density and development already here has detrimentally altered the quality of life in Reston. The current growth is grotesque. More profit for developers is of no benefit to those of us who live in Reston, and we are quite happy to forego the increased "tax base" to avoid our community becoming worse than it has already.

Why to hurry with new plans? I haven't seen any plan how to finance new schools, roads, recreational areas and other infrastructure.I see this plan just as pushing what developers would like have. Keep Reston a vibrant community.

Reston should consider withdrawing from Fairfax County and creating it's own city/county much like Arlington. I would contribute to this effort.
There are no Reston residents that believe increased density is a good thing. We moved to Reston to enjoy the vision of Robert E Simon. Now that the Silver line is in and expanding, developers want to make their buck and are salivating at our open space. They move on and leave us with this nightmare.
We need to find out why Fairfax County keeps bringing this up on a regular basis, and why we must be in a constant defensive posture. Somebody or group is benefitting from the developers, and we need to follow that trail of money to expose this.

I am proponent of build 'em, high and dig 'em deep in order to maintain our green space, but REALLY - why so fast? Why no congruent infrastructure/roads build-out? Reston's transportation system is broken already. Let's give the infrastructure time to catch-up with all the development that's been approved. I JUST SAY "WAIT".
