Nothwithstanding a viable plan, I question why there is a need to raise the Reston PRC density cap just because one or more developers requests it to be raised.

I am a lifelong Restonian. Increasing the density will erode our quality of life and damage our historic, planned community. We are already suffering from miserable traffic. Our roads, schools, and services will be further strained by additional growth. I am tired of the county rubber-stamping every development project. Developers are making money hand over fist in Reston, and the county wants the tax revenue, but over-development will ruin Reston. Check your greed, people.

I am a lifelong Reston resident and am extremely upset with the proposed plans to increase Reston's density. It is totally unnecessary, will lead to even more gridlock, and ruin the beautiful character of my beloved home.

Reston has already been overcrowded for years. Hopefully the Silver Line metro extension, when complete, will help to reduce some rush-hour traffic, but that is no reason to increase housing density!

It was a mistake to expand RTC and the International Center areas this much without adding infrastructure and community improvements first. It already takes 20-30 minutes to get from one side of Reston to the other in rush hour - wasn't the case before RTC was built. The area is already too backed-up during rush hour and too crowded in a few places. We neither want nor need new density, especially not when it's being forced on those of us long-term area residents by people elsewhere. Stop the madness!

Our roads in Reston are already overcrowded, as are our schools. Infrastructure and development must go hand in hand. We need to put a realistic cap on density. Green and open spaces are part of the magic of Reston and specifically why so many people love it here.
