Funding and a plan is not sufficient. We need sidewalks on both sides of all roads with homes or businesses as well as the other necessary infrastructure built and ready. Do not get the process reversed. Build and populate - not populate and build.

We must have the infrastructure in place first. Consideration also needs to be given to design. The latest development around Popeyes is visually horrible. It does not fit in with the architectural elements in that area.

I’m very concerned about population growth in Reston without supporting infrastructure. Changing the character of reston with unsupported growth is a mistake.

Reston is a special place and an important part of why it is so special is the green space - if it weren’t for the open green space it would be just another overcrowded ugly concrete jungle!!!

The proposed development and growth in Reston is far beyond what this community can handle with our current infrastructure. Schools are already at capacity, and roads are gridlocked at rush hour. Where are these tens of thousands of people going to fit in? Reston is NOT Arlington or Tysons ... people live here because of that! If I wanted to live in a sprawling city, I would have sought to raise my children in one. I came to reston for a reason, and these zoning changes are completely against everything I came here for.

This plan to significantly increase the population density via adding high-rise housing will harm the residents of Reston. It will reduce our community's beautiful open spaces and vistas, greatly add to already awful traffic, and strain schools and recreational amenities (fields, pools, tennis courts, RTC) that are essential to our community's quality of life. I did not move to Reston 41 years ago for this. I'm sure no one else did either. We chose to live a planned community with limits on population density so as to preserve our founder's vision of what Reston should be.

I strongly object to the proposed increase in density for the Reston Planned Residential Communities. Especially without a complete commitment for Fairfax County to also improve the infrastructure to appropriately accommodate the population increase that would occur if these changes were to be approved.

We do not need more residents in Reston. Schools are at capacity. Traffic has gotten ridiculous. I feel that Reston is becoming the new Arlington...congested and sprawling with no community feel.

Reston is already experiencing traffic and parking issues due to all of the expansion over the past 20 years with little to no changes in infrastructure. Green and open spaces are disappearing and what was once a beautiful controlled community is now littered with high-rises. Businesses are being driven out due to high rents and customers are leaving due to parking fees. RTC can't handle the issues it currently has so to add another 100,000 people is unthinkable without addressing the additional impact it will have on the lifestyle for which it was designed in the first place.

The town is maxed out now. It functions well and will continue to do so if it is not ruined by excessive growth.
