Anything that increases density in Reston adds to traffic congestion in Herndon and surrounding areas. Imagine trying to get to Reston Hospital in the early morning rush hour. Imagine fire engines trying to get to a fire on West Ox or Centerville Road during evening rush hour. In 2012 a random spark traveled from one sides of my garage to the other in 2.5 seconds, blowing up the car and then blew out the entire back of the house. 2.5 seconds--Timing is critical in an emergency and the County and Reston have obviously disregarded citizen safety in return for new development.

The new development and increased density threaten the Reston that attracted us; the green spaces, the open spaces, the trails, the trees, and the low density. Stop the over development!

The current density increases already evident by new construction is making quality of life-->normal travel to run errands, get to Dr. appointments, grocery shopping --insane. Reston is a close-knit conglomeration of neighborhoods ( i mean physically one right next to the other--next to business or school campuses) Intersections and traffic lights can BARELY accommodate existing traffic.

Reston's lovely pastoral settings are being destroyed by overdevelopment and its by products like increased traffic. STOP IT!!!

We need added schools, trails, gardens, churches, community centers, parks, pools, tennis courts, playgrounds, and nature staff, proportional to the added Reston population. Until that is assured, let's halt this rampaging growth.

The proposed transportation plan cannot support the increased density. Neither can the RA pool facilities.

It is already far too crowded n Reston. Those that approved the new developments didn't acccount for lack of infrastructure to handle the increase! I was stuck in traffic returning from metro, when an ambulance struggled to get through the intersection at plaza America!

This is overwhelming and not smart growth. We are at the mercy of the county that just wants to use the tax base to pad other areas that are suffering and not put it back into our community to support the growth they have approved.

Keep crime down and property values up - by LOW density in Reston. Safe and nice home is important for us, and we (your voters) will keep asking you and others to keep density in Reston LOW.

I have lived in Reston since 2001, and the increase in traffic congestion has been a hundredfold. Please stop this madness, take a breather, and plan sensibly.

I grew up in Reston and live just south of it now. The rash of huge developments is ruining the inclusive and environmentally-friendly character of the area, making traffic horrific (just try going north-to-south on Reston Parkway during the afternoon rush), and overrunning local school and other facilities.
