Increasing the population density is pure insanity, loading current residents with all the hassle and absolutely NO benefit from what will become massive gridlock all day long! Stop it stop it stop it. PLEASE!

Reston was a planned community. Its residents do not need, nor want, further large scale development. Reston must continue as a green oasis in a growing sea of urban sprawl.

Reston is all about green, trees and natural growth, open, natural space. Current growth is al ready pushing the limits. County proposal would violate the community plan and create a place far from what I love.

I chose to purchase a house in Reston because our family strongly believes in the Live. Work. Play culture that is afforded to us in this community. In the past five years, we have seen a rapid rise in development, overcrowding in schools, and fights to keep green spaces green. We are seeing Fairfax County systematically and aggressively try to turn Reston into another high-density population center such as in Arlington or Alexandria. A reality that many of us are fearful of, as we already face gridlock during rush hour, parking fiascos, and overall impact to the community as a whole. Please do not sell out our home of Reston for Fairfax County tax profit!

I will not support zoning changes without a way to pay for them that doesn't fall on the current residents. Developers should be responsible for funding the infrastructure their projects seek to affect.

Countywide, any increases in allowed density or flexibility in use must be carefully thought through; necessary public services, infrastructure improvements and 'quality of life assurances MUST have realistic budgeting and sources of funding firmly secured before any projects are initiated.

Absolutely no regard for quality of life in the Reston/Herndon area. Every decision made by the Fairfax Co. Board of Supervisors revolves around business and tax revenue. They will not be satisfied until they have build another Tyson's Corner... which I stopped patronizing a decade ago due to the congestion. They need to be replaced.

Until there is more than a single thin, unkempt sidewalk for bikes and pedestrians and bus stops along Reston Parkway from foxmill to southlakes -- there is no room for anything else -- this indicates the contempt Fairfax county has for current residents who are not in the upper income echelons. Until there is attention to the needs of all citizens, the needs of developers should come last

I am a Reston resident and homeowner. I don't oppose development in Reston, but agree with all of the criticisms that Reston 20/20 has of the recent increased density push, which seemed to be unnecessarily rushed and not well justified by the County's arguments. Put the brakes on this, and protect the values upon which Reston was founded. Growth has to be pursued with ensured stability in the quality of life here.

We need to have an infrastructure plan in place before density is increased. One of the reasons Reston is a wonderful place to live is the walkability and livability of the town. We would hate to lose the charm of that.

I keep thinking this is going to ruin our schools. Doesn't take into account those of us that are disabled and need our vans to transport wheelchairs. Will make it impossible for those of us on fixed income to be able to afford to live here.
