As Reston becomes bigger and more "luxury" oriented by developers, the more the original vision of inclusiveness and tolerance is being destroyed which is absolutely a shame.

Time to take a pause in development and convince the Reston residents the infrastructure is there to support this massive, massive growth.

In my opinion the infrastructure should have been done before any developement was started

It is probably too late to forestall what is coming. The County leaders believe the answer to budget shortages is growth. The trouble is that growth leads to expensive bills for the county government in the form of additional roads, schools, police, fire, and other basic services. Classic chicken and egg cycle that will probably end up with Reston being remade for the worse over the next 10 to 20 years. Those hazy lazy days of summer are drifting away.

Make Reston great again. The traffic sucks, Reston doesn't need more residents. Money grab!

The whole reason I moved to Reston is to enjoy the balance between green space and developed areas with amenities. Since I have moved here there has been extremely rapid development and increase in poulation without proper changes to the roadways. I can't get in or put of my neighborhood off Sunrise Valley and several proposed high rises down the road are yet to be built. You can't pump thousands of people on already congested roadways with no plans to handle the growth. Logic needs to be priority instead of greed.

The moratorium is needed especially for Reston, but for the entire county also.

Reston was a lovely community and this overbuilding is destroying the original concept. Soon the whole idea of COMMUNITY will be non-existent. This is a planned community and what is going on is destroying the concept of the original plan. Please stop!

No infrastructure in place no development. Its just common sense, like improved public transport, bike lanes, free healthcare, good jobs, a living wage and free education.

I have been in Reston for 36 years. A once green wonderland has turned into a concrete mess. Stop the madness!

I am against the high density development in Reston. I moved here because of its planned community. I value its open, green space.

I've attended several presentations, including those by RA, which described development projects in detail, but failed to address the supporting infrastructure. This petition is long over due.

I've lived in Reston for 20 years and my kids will be in school here for a while. I understand expansion is inevitable, but it should not be at the expense of current residents. I want to see good plans for schools, traffic, and green areas - that's why we moved here.

Yes, STOP the new development applications until the County has a realistic plan!! We all moved here for a reason and Reston is supposed to be a planned community.

Much more road planning and transportation planning needs to be in place with projected funding before any higher density are approved. Eileen Dubose. Bentana Woods West
