The traffic in Reston is already way too congested for such a small area - we will experience Tysons Corner gridlike all the time - now it is mostly at morning and evening rush hurs. Also, yes, the schools are impacted with more students than they can handle - witness add-on rooms being built on the little remaining land that surrounds South Lakes High School not to even mention there are now classrooms in the form of trailers on this same amount of limited land space.
Reston cannot become more dense with people living here - and please keep the golf course on Sunrise Valley Drive!

There should be no changes in the allowed population density of Reston without a clear plan and commitment for modifying the roads, utilities, schools, and services infrastructure that would be developed to support the increased volumes.

Please no more congestion and traffic, we're already maxed out. With the Metro line expanding out past Dulles Airport, there are plenty of our locations for new development in NoVA. Thanks!

There is NO reason to rush into this without more careful, deliberate examination of all ramifications. And, just as importantly, Fairfax County supervisors should be making much more of an effort to reach out to and educate the Reston community, and provide avenues for feedback. This all has the feel of a foregone conclusion, which it should NOT be.

We already have enough problems with traffic and congestion, and the Silver Line metro is not even fully operational yet. We do not need a large increase in population density to make it even worse.

Officials seeking additional tax dollars should find other ways of supporting the huge pension funds and the incredible health benefits of County employees. Reston residents want desperately to preserve our intended lifestyle and space use. We need more green space, more care of the environment and NOT more hard scape which is absolutely the opposite of land stewardship. We don't even have enough sidewalks in South Reston or proper bus station stops. We step down into dirt event on such thoroughfares as South Lakes Drive and children walk to school in the street on Ridge Heights Road. This is but one symptom of the County's abdicating spending responsibility to care for the safety and well being of Reston's existing citizens. Meanwhile, all we hear about is new development. PAC dollars are corrupting. We need more focus on the original vision...Development and resulting traffic are already out of control. It already takes forever to commute within Reston at rush hour. Politicians need to represent us--the constituents. Developers must be held more accountable for both DESIGN and the impacts of the built environment on the environment, the infrastructure and the lives of Reston residents.

Please curb the over-development of Reston and adhere to Robert Simon's view of open space complimenting residential and commercial. Do NOT raise the density.
