Increasing residential density in Reston is a sacrilege to its founding concepts. It is also contrary to the interests of those who chose to live in Reston as a planned community with a spectrum of human scale housing and dedicated green space. The roads are choked. The infrastructure is not adequate for increased residential density.

The proposed zoning amendment and the ultra high-density zoning already in place for the TSAs will destroy Reston as a premier planned community whose balance maximizes residents quality of life. It is simply a money grab by the county from the property taxes the hyper-development will generate.

Reston is dense enough. It's a major challenge getting in and out of my neighborhood and driving to work already. You can barely get on the Beltway from 267 these days. The exits are so backed up!!! We don't need more development. We need better, smarter development in existing spots like Lake Anne, and some of the mini mall areas around. Better choices in RTC which is dying thanks to overcharging merchants for rent and parking fees. More incentive for family businesses not chains.
