Online learning is not very effective for kids in the younger age groups. There is nothing interactive about the experience. It takes a significant amount of effort from the parents, many of whom are having to work from home themselves. The letter from the Director does not show any real concern or understanding of the situation many parents find themselves in. Quite honestly it comes across as provocative.

Agree with the above, we are all in it together. I have had to take unpaid leave with no choice of my own. These are unprecedented times.

The conditional rebate offered by Dis is very disappointing. The need of the hour is NOW and we dont even know the impact on future incomes. So we request a 20 to 25% rebate in term 3 fees .And it should apply to all.students who are with DIs in term 3 .

Please support parents by giving at least 25% off on term 3 school fees. There is no exception of affection due to bad pandemic right now.

So disappointed with this response from the school, parents were cooperating to solve all the previous issues together with school but this is the time where school have to support all the families which is effected in this situation not only salaried parents , worst effect is on business owners.

I do emphasize on the 3rd point especially that most of the prestigious schools are offering live courses to grade 3 and above not recorded classes like DIS so there is no extra efforts from DIS like other schools. I m not happy at all from the offered learning platform.

I cannot agree with the complains on the online learning platform in this petition as I have to acknowledge the efforts being put into making e-learning a positive experience for the kids and as beneficial as possible given the circumstances. But we are ALL in this together NOW.. applying a discount to next year doesn't relieve any stress or give any support today.. something to reconsider maybe.

We are very confused from Elearning we do everything instead of teachers with salaries deductions and now we have to pay the amount with only 10% sorry it is not fair.

DIS should take sensible action by considering the financial burden which is currently affecting the parents. 10% discount and applied to next year is insensitive decision from DIS while other schools in the same ranks as DIS offered 20-25% in a prompt manner. Many parents are struggling now and most parents are spending hours with the kids doing the activities which is an extra burden for parents.

I have already raised my concerns, and the response was a 10 minute phone call during which, all I heard were excuses, and no sensible reasoning. 10% discount and the bargain is that the kid stays next year? So basically blackmail! 10% discount only if you remain with us, because we know we are going to lose a lot of kids because of our failures during this time. I definitely sign this petition

i completely agree to all above stated points. We expect a positive response from DIS ,not just benefitting the school but to entire parent body as well.we all should be together in this.
