Please please get this done. It is costing time and money for anyone driving from South to North or North to South. Every delivery driver is complaining

There are few words that can sum up this unrealistic situation of North Hall Road closure, but perhaps dreadful, unbelievable, and unacceptable go some way towards the reality.

It has already been closed for a ridiculous amount of time. The route through Patmore End is covered in horrendous holes now - an accident waiting to happen!

Why is it taking so long? It adds so much more time to your journey and the alternative road through Patmore End is becoming full of pot holes on the side of the road due to too much and weight of traffic!

This is a serious matter for all residents of the area. As road currently used as a diversion is virtually single track and no passing places . Cars can manage slowly but anything larger and there are farm vehicles make it very dangerous especially if a visitor uses it who doesn’t know the road. North hall road is one of the main access roads to Henham, Elsenham Station, and Little Henham. As well those who live alone the road . It also makes it difficult/dangerous for the cycling clubs based there as we come out of lockdown.

Twice daily Mon-Fri, I am having to follow the diversion through Patmore End to travel between Henham and Newport collecting my children from school. The road is not suitable for heavy traffic; blind bends on the approach, heavy usage by farm vehicles, single track and also limited visibility to join the main Cambridge Road near The Chequers pub with a steady flow of traffic moving at 50 miles an hour. All in all, a very dangerous drive with no reasonable alternatives and no end date in sight. Having used the diversion for close to a year already, I’d like some reassurance that the commissioning of design and work are being prioritised, before there is a serious accident or worse. Thank you.

It is a disgrace that these repairs have not yet been completed.

It is totally baffling why this repair has not yet been carried out. In addition to the extreme inconvenience to local residents and the impact on emergency services, the dangerous diversion still in place has now led to the total degeneration of the road through Patmore End. This will now also require costly repairs and refurbishment - all additional expense that could have been avoided by timely action.

Works should be treated as URGENT to much disruption to local area.

This road has been shut for over 9 months and my only through route from quendon is via patmore end with extremely sharp bends and most unsuitable for the heavy traffic it is now receiving. Please act before there is a nasty accident and someone gets hurt

Unacceptable such long time with that key road for the neighbourhood to be closed. Diversion is extremely dangerous, enhanced by the huge potholes on the side of the road at its narrowest points; it would not be the first time I damaged a tyre in my car because of those in the vicinity, when covered my water, resulting in otherwise unnecessary expenses from my own pocket!
