This road closure is inconvenient and restrictive for local residents and businesses.

It has been well over a year now and still no sign of progress, the diversion signage is not clear to those approaching from Newport which regularly gets my hopes up until the last minute.

This is disgraceful. This part of the road has sufferred from flooding and closures for years. The alternative route is dangerous and now with Hall Road closures there is only one way out of the villages through the dreadful Grove Hill.

This road closure and major inconvenience has gone on now far too long and needs to be dealt with without further delay

The closure occurs just at the entrance to the drive into North Hall Farm Barns. Traffic having to turn around at the barrier are causing damage to the drive and increasing the risk of further erosion to the river banking. Essex Highways - it's time to get this done!

This road closure has increased my daily school commute and increased fuel bill and damaged my car, the alternative route is a single lane in many places and is now heavily rutted meaning you cannot pull over to let others passes which leads to frayed emotions twice a day. How a council cannot organise this repair is beyond me and calls into question what else they can’t do.

Embarassing. Incompetence clearly demonstrated by Essex Highways. 10 months since road was closed. 28 months to decide they needed to go to tender for repairs. 2 months since-have they got quotes. When will this be done as creating lots of issues-emergency services delays, local residents stranded at home when N-H-Road floods, delivery drivers refusing to deliver to vulnerable. When will it be fixed? It's been rediculously too long.

This detour not only takes drivers through what was a pretty, single track, country lane that I've used for 30years, and now turned that lane into a mud pit, as new drivers don't seem to appreciate passing spaces, or patient's. It comes to the junction at the Chequer's which has itself become a more dangerous due to site works.

The traffic resulting from this diversion has damaged the lane and verges badly and also brickwork on my property. The volume and speed of the traffic is dangerous and a noise nuisance. The original problem should have been repaired by now.

Us locals have been more than patient. It's time Essex County Council actually spent the money we contribute through taxes on the roads in Uttlesford.

A housing estate would be built quicker.
