Todd's planning work is disenfranchising to women, people of color, and trans folks. The board has lacked representation for years, and if it hadn't, this probably wouldn't be happening. It's time for a new board who represents the LGBT people of Cleveland.

Lack of preparation means someone wasn't doing their job! That dereliction of duty impacts thousands. Shame on him for this. Pass the baton to someone that wants and will do the job! If other cities can pull off gay pride, there's no reason Cleveland can't except for a lack of planning and organization .

Unacceptable! We can host the RNC and celebrate the CAVS win with no issue but can't do pride! He needs to go!!

This parade has been happening for over 20 years. You cannot just stop it because you feel like it's a risk in Cleveland, the cavs parade was a good turn out, the RNC was a great turn out, and oh you think the gay parade is going to be a bad turn out? Open your eyes Todd, let us people have some fun, for the 28th year. :)

Not only has Todd Saporito run Flexspas into the ground (which he is the CEO of) but also Cleveland Pride. Many LGBT people won't go to pride because of YOU!!! You hate the MOST hated man in this city. Your blatant disregards for the community is a slap in the face. Do the right thing and resign. It's time for a change.

Shameful behavior. How DARE he make such a ?! As an Ally, and proud mother of a gay son, this is just ridiculous - it is NOTNOT his call to deny us all the right to celebrate!!!

The fact that the LGBTQ community in NE Ohio has not been given the chance to show our pride in the community after the tragedy in Orlando is nothing short of unexcusable. We have been through so much as a city this past year. If we can host the largest parade in our state's history and a GOP convention then we can host an LGBTQ parade.

This is absurd. Pride is about acceptance and facing your fears! Beef up security and carry on!! CLE, if you want to play with the big boys like NYC, Chicago and the rest. Bring back Gay Pride on the 13th.

I stopped helping put on Akron Pride because the group of us that did got minimal help to plan, setup and tear-down for our volunteer efforts. The gate admission was all donated to charities minus the rental fee of the venue and sound equipment. Im curious to know how much of the gate lines these guys pockets. This board and President use it as a vehicle for promoting their shady business ventures.

Sad that a celebration of Pride was canceled, this shouldn't happen.

Certainly sounds like a time for new leadership. I am sure our community has qualified people who can step in. Maybe the LGBT Center should have a role or be on the board of what ever group organizes Our New Pride.

What a terrible decision that Saporito made. He basically stated that the Republicans were correct in their bigotry of the LGBTQ community, has signaled that the LGBTQ community should be ashamed of themselves for simply existing, that the LGBTQ community is rightfully being excluded from society. IF ANYTHING, the Cleveland Pride festival should have been made MORE dramatic in response to the most anti-LGBTQ platform ever. The Pride celebration should have been used to tell these bigots that we are NOT going to meekly accept being labeled and ostracized. FIRE Saporito, do not let him resign. He should be publically humiliated for having publically humiliated every single LGBTQ person in America.

I'm from Norway, but I think Cleveland certainly should have their Pride.
