Residents Parking for the Colonies - Exmouth

Moving into Salisbury road and have COPD.I will need to park at no 74 as I cannot walk.

I'm all for resendent parking in the colony. I live at Rosebery road and have been here since 1992. I would definitely pay for resendent only. It's a nightmare trying to park near your own house...

Just bought a small car all is great until I return to New St to park near my home, absolute nightmare.

Parking outside my house is impossible, there's more and more restrictions being put in place to stop people from parking on a Sunday as they have now turned the lines to double yellow. Something needs to be done about the parking in the colonies

Clarence Road Parking Required although not in the colonoies we have shoppers, work vans and workers to contend with. I have a small baby and this is making life stressful paying for parking all day in the car park and parking tickets. Money better spent on a permit please!!!

I live in Clarence Rd and i am on this big time. I have written a letter of concern for surronding area and just need signatures and sending to the powers that be. It is beyond a joke now the police station is barriered off ( for all of 3x cars to use!!!) Driving has become agressive and dangerous witg people speeding into spots most of who dont actually live on the road. With a young baby this has become so stressful and sat looking at an empty carpark opposite mskes me sick!! Yes choose to live here but i disagree with accepting the parking situation when most tourist towns and cities have resident parking permits 1 x per household. Previously living in Ivybridge and there was resident parking permits. Work vans, shoppers and workers are a huge issue abd sorry i personally feel as a resident on Clarence we should have a chance to park.

I live in Hartopp Rd and would fully be in favour of residents parking - it is so disheartening and frustrating coming home from a night shift and having to park miles away from my home.

I live in Rosebery Road and sick of never being able to park anywhere near my house especially as I do shift work. People are now putting bins and cones out to protect a space.

Parking in the Colonies area has become steadily worse over the years we have lived here. I work shifts and have spent up to 30 minutes driving around the Colonies looking for somewhere to park at 9pm at night. Its too much and Im sick of it! A residents only parking scheme could not possibly make the situation worse than it presently is.

We need resident parking permits not only in all The Colony streets - but also other roads near the town centre and beach (where many residents generally do not have garages or their own parking spaces). There are perfectly adequate council car parks (and also the Marks and Spencer car park), for all tourists, shoppers, visitors and workers coming into Central Exmouth.

The whole colony area should be a residents only parking area. If not ,the situation will only get worse.

Whilst happy to support residents in The Colonies, it is just the same for those of us who live elsewhere near town. Henrietta Road, Clarence Street, North Road, Windsor Square..... have exactly the same issues. The consultation needs to be wider than in The Colonies. Should solely The Colinies be successful, it would be even more hopeless for the rest of us in the same situation with even more cars searching for parking coming our way.

There is an issue with parking throughout the colonies. Maybe a residents overnight parking would still allow parking for the local shops.

The colony has become a free car park for shoppers and commuters ! Residents parking is a reasonable proposal that could help ease the increasingly chaotic situation.

Happily pay any amount to park outside my house
