They empty the green boxes into a wheelie bin before putting it on the truck anyway, why not make the process quicker (& quieter for shift workers) to have wheelie bins in the first place?!

I live next to the coast! The wind is constantly blowing the bins across the road, knocking all bottle bins over. I’ve also had a bin lid fly straight past my head and smashed into my window, in high winds! The crates are not suitable or safe for residents near the coast!!

This is a fantastic idea. It will save boxes being blown over and rubbish strewn everywhere that nobody picks up! The bins will deter Mice, Rats, Seagulls, Foxes It is really a no brainer. I used my green wheelie bin for recycling the binnies loved it but oh no the jobsworths say " we aren't geared up for wheelie bins only boxes" and "rules are rules only contracted to empty green boxes" blah blah. In the kong run the Council will save money by not having to keep delivering FREE green boxes. Wheelie bins don't get blown across the roads!

The wheelie bins will be better as any time there is a bit of wind the crates and the contents end up all over the road so I am not in lined to use the crates where as I would use the bin

Boxes are unhygienic and are difficult for some people to move to the collection point. If people have a spare bin let them use it. Not asking for free bin for every household . Common sense.

The boxes fill with water in the bottom and in the tins and tip everywhere when moved.lids blew away couple of days after delivery.replacement would be far better

Green bin is definitely too small especially when you have a family.

Get tired of water draining onto my shoes when putting the box out to the roadside.

Defiantly cleaner alternative ..not all people go round picking rubbish up from the crates when it’s been windy..so that falls to council to clean up waste ! It would be a win win for all

We need wheelies instead

I believe we should have a wheelie bin for the tins and glass bottles instead of the crate for a number of reasons. The main one being health and safety.
