This is a brilliant idea! First it would help make it easier for your collectors. Second it would save the council money in the long run as they wouldn't need to clean the streets after collection day.

Fleetwood. The bin men have to empty all the green boxes into a big wheelie bin anyway before the recycling can be emptied by the lift on the bin wagon, so surely if we had bins it would help them too.

I've always thought the box was a bad idea. It fills up in no time and it's heavy to carry. A wheely bin wd be so much better as I have a long way to take it from my house to the pavement.

Agree with all the comments. I asked for a bin some years ago, I'd even be prepared to pay towards the cost of one. Boxes are just unsuitable.

Would save doing 3/4 trips with dripping water coming out of the boxes all over your feet...cleaner...less flies and easier for the bin men..saves them tipping it into a bin...and less rubbish flying about in the wind..less green boxes being splattered on roads...no brainer.

Moved from Blackpool to cleveleys nearly 2 years ago and I preferred the blue bins Blackpool council provided..it was a lot easier & tidier with a bin especially in winter so hopefully wyre council will provide them soon.

This needs to be done. I live in a mid terrace house, I carry my bottles in a box round the back of the houses to the front, not only causing my back to ache but I get dripped all down my legs of whatever is in the box, to then watch the binmen chuck them into a wheelie bin and tip into wagon, it's so annoying.

This needs to be done soon! The silly boxes blowing all over the street every other week is ridiculous.

The green boxes are awkward to carry; the lids fill up with water when it rains and soak you when you pick them up; the lids blow away and you have to search the road for them; the recycling waste escapes and blows down the road; and many are broken.
