Replace our green boxes for a wheelie bin asap

I compleatly agree many times the residents on our street majority of those alot older in age are out picking up all the bottles etc when it's been really windy from around the street.

Terrible idea to have a box instead of a bin. 1 they are not big enough 2 they can't stand up to wind 3 the lids are pointless

I whole heartedly agree with this. I am fed up of bottles and cans blowing down the street every fortnight.

A bin would be far better. I'm sick of picking up bottles when it's windy and the bin men don't take them if not in the box! Leaving the road scattered with bottles

Carrying 2 weeks bottles, cans and plastic down a long driveway is ridiculous at my age. We live in one of the windiest places in England and invariably on recycling day boxes and their contents are strewn everywhere.

Green boxes too small and not fit for purpose.

Don't like all the plastics blowing around out of unsealed tubs

The small boxes are heavy to lift, dirty, break/crack easily, blow away when empty. They don't hold an awful lot and with a big family can end up with a lot of boxes which in turn it a lot of bending, lifting and carrying or a lot of bags filled as boxes full

We have 3 green boxes, all of the lids have broken, they are difficult to carry and store. A bin would be a much better option.

Having a bin in place of a box is the ideal solution. We currently have the box provided by the council and 2 addition boxes which we purchased ourselves. We are a family of 5 and 1 box is inadequate.

I often have a bag full of recyclables next to the green box so a big bin makes sense

We find the green tubs too small for just two people. Carrying them after wet weather causes drips out of the bottom. The lids don't fit. We have a brick on each bin lid.. When putting them at the front with lids off, items blow away. If lids are left on, they blow away.

I have a lot of trouble picking the box's up as I have arthritis

When I moved to Fleetwood in 2010 it was like stepping back in time. I came over from Oldham where they recycle nearly everything. Ok, I had a garden full of bins but that didn't bother me. Wyre were still using bin bags! I had 3 large wheelie bins (black-general, blue-paper, brown-glass/plastic/tinfoil) and a small green bin for compostable food waste. Its about time Wyre stepped into the 21st century!

The green buckets are ridiculous, I had 3 back in 2015 , one of my neighbour stole 2 and my last one blew away last tues. Forcing me to order a new one.
