Residents of Wyre: Replace Bottle Crates with Standard Wheelie Bin

Great idea to change something that isn't fit for purpose .

I agree. The crates are too small, cumbersome and the lids never stay in. Bins for bottles and cans please?

If you want people to recycle more then you must provide them with adequate means.

All of them replaced for nice new ones. We pay enough in council tax! But definitely replace the crates.

These bins are useless it's time to replace them.

The crates are hazardous especially when they get knocked over creating more mess and more litter all over the road.

A bin would be much better

Completely agree. If they wish you to recycle correctly, provide people with fit for use equipment.

I so agree that the crates are useless for glasses and plastics.

Do it as soon as possible, please!! Better a bin with a LID, that a silly box. When it rains it's a mess, and if it was windy, debris every where!!! Not a very pretty sight of the neighbourhood.

Who needs a bin for card board? Swap over with the bottle box

The boxes blow away, are too heavy to carry, most of the recycling is blown in the street before they are even collected. Please supply us with bins.

Crates blowing away is a constant problem.

Ours blew away years ago never to be seen again, and replaced by our own version. Exacerbated by our living on a hill . In windy weather just about every bin ends up down the road with its contents scattered . Lids are a thing of the past ... gone too. Very poor thought process and design by whoever .

I appreciate it will be costly initially to replace the crates but they are prone to break, or blow away.
