Monroe needs Uber. It will greatly improve our image to have this service. Night life participation will increase because of the ease to go out and enjoy yourself

As a bar owner, I know I and my customers want and need Uber for safety purposes. Trying to get a taxi to drive people to the bars or drive them home afterwards I know first hand on many occasions no cab company is available or obviously interested in serving the people of Monroe. Also, the latest flight into the airport taxi are unavailable. Must don't answer their phones. Fix what you have approved and work on what the public wants and needs!

Uber provides a low cost method of transportation for our entire community. What a great opportunity for those who cannot afford their own vehicle to get around town, especially in those areas of our community where the buses do not run!
It also makes the community safer by providing an option for those who may partake in alcohol to get a safe ride home. (Especially true in a college town like ours).
It also provides an opportunity for employment for our area in a place where good jobs are sorely needed.
As a young professional I see no negative impact to allowing Uber into our community and allowing Monroe to keep pace with other areas of our state and country.

Don't try and reinvent the wheel. Adopt a similar ordnance to Shreveport and get Uber started.
