Residents Against Ystrad Barwig Development - New Proposals

I am concerned about the pressure on the infrastructure and local services that this and other developments will have a significant impact on.

This area cannot cope with the influx of new residents as it is, doctors surgeries and schools are already struggling. Also what's going to happen to the herons, geese and other animals using that area? Not every green space needs a new housing estate surely!

The local facilities are already well over stretched. Madness to propose another development.

No infrastructure, roads already bottleneck every day, no Gp space for new families, ground is very wet and will need to re-route river. I feel sorry for the Fletcher family as the bypass has made farming very difficult but more houses are not the answer. Sadly I expect they will push on with their pre existing plans and the suggest a new link road from this roundabout through to junction 33 as a relief road wrecking more countryside in the process! This will link us to the new 7000-9000 houses proposed between Capel Llanilltern and Radyr. While their at it they might as well level the Garth and build houses and shops on it!

Talk about overcrowding. How many more houses are they going to build around here. There are enough traffic jams now. There will be no green land left soon and will probably lead to more flooding as less land to soak away.

Enough building. The infrastructure in the locality cannot take anymore.

This is on a flood plain It has already been rejected why don't they build on Cwm Colliery site Is it because it would cost too much money to eradicate all the. chemical pollution in the ground so decreasing their profits

I would like to sign this petition to stop further building at Ystrad barwig.

The bypass can not take any more congestion, also concerns over the environmental effect this will have in the area.

Too many new houses not enough infrastructure to support them

The infrastructure cannot cope now!

Where is the traffic going to go. Our roads are already at a standstill at peak times, even after the construction of the by-pass.

I think it is a ridiculous idea as we are a crowded community as it is there is not enough facilities e.g. schools, doctors

Stop the development. This farm has multiple fines for dumping toxic waste materials. It's not safe.

This would destroy the appearance of the local area. There would be a massive strain on the local infrastructure and this would have a negative effect on local services.

This would have a detrimental impact to the beautiful green area, the wildlife within it and the community, and the infrastructure isn't there to support such an increase in people and traffic.

Having recently bought a property in the area I am concerned about the proposed development and the impact it is going to have on the local area.

We cannot have further strain on the current infrastructure, along with another loss of greenery within the local area!!

That particular plot is beautiful on the eye and would have a significant impact on the local area. The area does not have infrastructure to cope with an influx of people and houses. This plot is also home to a lot of wildlife and as a vegetarian this very upsetting to me that these animals could come to harm. The residents have already spoken and objected once so we should not be having this conversation again. Let's hope common sense will prevail and the area can remain beautiful and green for future generations.

Ruining the countryside and the eco systems will spoil this area irreparably. The beauty of this place will be torn away when there are plenty of development opportunities in more built up areas! And what is worse is that the council are not listening to the views of the residents. They have no regard for us at all; we want to protect the place we call home.
