Residents Against the Trinity Hall Project

The Trinity Hall proposal along Chapel Hill Road includes 300+ parking stalls and athletic facilities. If NJ Transit proposed this as a Park N Ride or NJ Sports Authority proposed athletic facilities at this location surrounded by narrow roads controlled only by stop signs, no left turn lanes, no breakdown lanes, and only marginal lines of sight at intersections, common sense dictates the negative impact to traffic, public safety, and quality life should be obvious to all. The Trinity Hall supporters themselves should realize the potential for a future teenage driving tragedy. The operation of athletic facilities after hours and on weekends only exacerbates these negative consequences. Will there lighting and a PA system? and what about the noise? cheering and jeering? Will the venue become popular leading to non athletic activities such as fund raising, concerts, etc.? Clearly a recipe for a future nuisance. Trinity Hall or any school at this location? Common sense says an emphatic "No, not there!"

Middletown Township DOES NOT CARE about its residents..This will only generate more tax dollars for the Township, yet we will all have to pay for this…WE DO NOT NEED Higher Taxes, More Traffic, Congestion and a Negative Impact on the Environment.

Roads are not wide enough for the traffic, there are already too many school buses in the morning to create congestion. There are many schools in the area that were closed (holy family, St. Ann's) - perfect location for Trinity Hall. No need for new constructions.

The local roads and RT35 intersection cannot absorb the increased traffic even with widening. It is madness. If this goes through planning then it will be shocking. Imposing a lower speed limit does not address the fundamental issue... this is not a site for high volume traffic in peak hours.

We are opposed to the development of a private school in a residential area, which already has too much traffic passing through. There are many other commercial area that would be better suited to build a school.

Middletown has enough private & public schools, the last thing we need is more traffic, we live on a main road which is not capable of handling the current traffic we have, commercial vehicles & current residents, it is already chaotic & it would disrupt the lives of people who live in this beautiful little area. There are many empty lots on Rt-35 & Rt-36 that could be better suited. Right now people who drive through Chapel Hill Rd & Kings Highway East rarely pay attention to the speed limit, honk their horns if another driver obeys the law, roll through stop signs, not counting the amount of large trucks, school buses & other commercial traffic that pass through many times a day, some with total disregard to people living in the area. I think we already have enough to deal with. We Do Not Need Another School on our small beautiful historic country roads, disrupting the lives of people who chose to buy their homes & live here, raise families & pay taxes as good citizens do all because they fell in love with the beauty of the area.

Chapel Hill is a dangerous road which turns onto Kings Highway East another already too heavily traveled winding road which is shared by many bicycle riders

The idea of a school or establishment of any kind that will permanently change the scenic area that is Chapel Hill saddens me greatly. The entire complexion of the neighborhood will change and there will be a huge increase in traffic on the roads. Getting around Navesink, Locust, Chapel Hill and the historic Kings Hwy district will be difficult at best with the increase in drivers to visit sporting events, theater performances, swim meets, tournaments etc. Dirt roads, small country roads and existing neighborhoods will become cut throughs for those wishing to avoid congestion creating an even more dangerous condition not to mention toll on the roads. After reading the Middletown Township Master Plan, I am quite sure a campus of any kind does not fit in with the plans of our past planning boards. Chapel Hill Rd was deemed a Scenic corridor and every effort should be made to maintain it as such. Widening it to accommodate busses, delivery trucks and the traffic generated by a private, competitive school of any kind would be a travesty. The school will pull from approximately 63 sending districts, just as Red Bank Catholic does today, and that is most certainly not in the best interest of our historic area. Kings highway is probably the most historic Road in the township and it needs to be protected from additional traffic at all hours of the day and night. As it is this road is full of blind drives and dangerous curves. Locust Point Road and the 4 corner intersection in Navesink will be severely impacted as well. The increased traffic at the blinking light at the base of the Oceanic bridge is already difficult and will become virtually unmanageable at certain hours of the day. Allowing additional traffic of this magnitude puts all the residents of the neighboring communities at risk. For the record my opposition exists only for the decrease in quality of life here, the destruction of a scenic road leading to the eventual, inevitable need for a light at the inters
