A Rust Pond family is very concerned about the environmental impacts on Rust Pond and the surrounding area. We are firmly against the Bedrock Quarry.

Please do not allow the bedrock quarry. I guaranty everyone responsible for allowing the project will live to regret it. Such an operation was allowed in Acton, MA, a quite community very much like New Durham, several decades ago, while I was a resident and property owner there. The severity of the consequences of permitting such a business activity cannot be over-exaggerated. In addition to the noise produced by the truck traffic and dust that seem to seep into everything, there's was the oppressively loud daily activity of operating the crusher. And then there's the blasting that everyone complained about. Make no mistake, Every blast will be a shock to virtually everyone, but especially young children.

I am very concerned on behalf of the community about this project. I strongly urge further public hearings, with knowledgeable input so that all of the ramifications of this project can be duly considered. There is no rush. Please hold up.

It is not good for the environment and or the people who live before and after this property. The amount of traffic that will be introduced by large trucks is inappropriate for the road and surounding neighborhoods.

As members of the adjacent landscape we object to this development. The noise dust and hours of operation will greatly disturb our daily activity

This project would be very disruptive to the abutting homes and club.

Recommend voting against the quarry until a full technical review of the groundwater and environmental impacts are evaluated. At that point the property owner should place a sufficient restoration bond in the event of closure or adverse environmental impacts occur.

I was shocked to learn that a significant mining and blasting operation was being considered in a residential area in New Durham. While I am a resident of Wolfeboro, I am a member of the Lake Winnipesaukee Golf Club and frequently use King's highway. Blasting and mining have no place in a residential area, particularly near sensitive water sources and recreational areas. Truck traffic on the road would present a safety and wear issue. While I believe this is a questionable project at best for this area, at a minimum, I hope the town will engage in detailed study before considering it and the potential negative impact.

The serenity of this mountainside area will be completely ruined if this project is allowed to proceed. Isn't there already such an operation on the road to Alton? We don't need another one!

This will have direct negative impacts on water quality and, indirectly, on local property values. This is a reckless use of property adjacent to a natural pond or lake.

This proposal threatens an otherwise quiet rural neighborhood and the resulting heavy truck traffic will endanger those who use Kings Highway and Middleton Road on a frequent basis, which include walkers, joggers, and cyclists.

Please delay approval of this application to allow more time for public awareness to be established and for neighboring groups to implement and share analysis of the effects of the proposed quarry on our homes and fragile ecosystem. I am a resident of Wolfeboro residing on Rust Pond and only just learned of this proposal. We members of the Rust Pond Association are committed stewards of the Lake and related water and land ecology. Without carefully researched safeguards in place this project will cause irreversible damage. Thank you.

I have family that live on Russ pond and have vacationed there many times. Beautiful, peaceful place and the traffic, noise and damage to the lake it's self will be a terrible loss to the residents and Wolfbrough. The company will be the only one to profit from this and that is shameful
